P&O confirms plans for Iona’s sister ship

P&O has this morning announced that they are planning to take delivery of Iona before the autumn and following discussions with the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany, we can confirm that Iona’s sister ship will join the fleet in December 2022.

Iona will be the latest addition to our fleet and as the first British cruise ship to be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), she will set new ground for P&O Cruises.

Commenting on behalf of P&O, Paul Ludlow, said: “Whilst our operations are currently paused, we are delighted that we have more clarity on the arrival of these two new ships. Both are eagerly anticipated by our guests and we are seeing strong demand for the future. The space on these two ships will allow for extraordinary experiences, visual entertainment, new dining concepts and many new areas for relaxation and indulgence.”

Further announcements regarding Iona’s first cruise will be announced in due course, and . itineraries for Iona’s sister ship will go on sale in Spring 2021.
